    For the majority of wine lovers the image of a Chardonnay from the New World is generally that of a thick buttery wine. Loma Larga Vineyards and their oenologist, Frenchman Cedric Nicolle, prove the exact opposite, originating from the cool and fresh Valley of Casablanca, Chile.

    This particular Chardonnay is an example of freshness that persists on the palate. Its relatively short transition through barrels allows this quality. Cedric is staunch and steadfast in this aspect of white wines: the grape is a starting point, not a style (…) The wine, dry and fresh, reveals beautiful touches of wood, multiplying exponentially in its pairing with a wide range of dishes.”

    Loma Larga Malbec 2008 was awarded the second best Malbec in the “Five Nations Wine Challenge” organized by the Australian Association of Boutique Winemakers in which wines from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina and Chile compete.
